SUNDAY TONIC: UNDERSTANDING WHO YOU ARE

TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING WHO YOU ARE

TEXT:  John 1:1 – “In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word

                                  was God”

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” KJV

A baby lion was raised in the midst of sheep. He became a sheep in his mentality. He lost his identity to his environment. One day, he saw himself in the water and said to himself, “I look like those things we run away from each time we go drink water.” The next time the lions came, he crossed over and joined them.

Do you really know who you are? Not on assumption, but based on the truth, the Word. Have circumstances made you lose your identity? The foundation of your Christian life must be based on your knowledge of the Word. Your life must be anchored on the Word.

Christianity is beyond revelation. How much of God do you know? What is driving you in the Kingdom? What are you choosing? There are lots of things to choose from, the devil mammon-money and God.

No man can know the Word and be in bondage. The truth you know will make you free. The Word is the truth and light. Therefore, you must begin and end your life with the Word.

Your strength in the kingdom is largely determined by how much of God you know. Anyone that does not crave to know will continually be under the torrents of the devil.

Those who think Christianity is all about miracles are still strangers in Christendom. Christianity is not just about receiving blessings from God. God’s primary purpose for creating man was to have fellowship with man.

As long as you have fellowship with God, you’ll be in the Garden of Eden – little prayer, more result. You’ll struggle less and enjoy more. How much you know determines how much you get.

What you know determines who you know.……… Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? Acts 19:15 KJV

Friend, you are bigger than this. Make yourself bigger than you are right now by striving to know more of God. When you do, you’ll never be on a spot. You determine what becomes of you.

When you choose God and stick to Him, you become a living wonder.  You are more than what you think you are if only you can know God more.
