UPDATE: NCC LAUNCHES A WEB PORTAL FOR CONSUMER INFORMATION, EDUCATION AND COMPLIANT LODGMENT & RESOLUTION.

The apex body regulation telecommunications operations in Nigeria, The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has launch a portal called the Consumer web portal.
The portal was designed to inform and educate telecoms subscribers in the country. Also, consumers can lodge in complaints, check complaint status expecting resolutions via this portal.
A Facebook post by the Commission reads: “The Nigerian Communications Commission Consumer Web Portal is up and running as a platform for information and education resources that telecom consumers may require taking informed decisions,” “Telecom consumers are encouraged to use the platform to lodge complaints, make enquiries, as well as suggestions on how to improve on the quality of telecom service provision.”
According to NCC, the overall objective for this move is to enable consumers contribute to federal enforcement and consumer protection efforts on a national scale.
This is a very good new for all telecoms subscribers, especially business owners and marketers.  For those that have had sad experiences with our telecoms service providers, we can now have a sigh of relief, but we pray it works as promised.
I have a line that N100 deduction was made every day consistently for up to 6 months, except there was no credit on the phone.  Each time I called my operators, they gave me strange excuses to a point that I stopped recharging the line. I’ve been using the line without recharging it for more than a year now. So, who’s losing?
NCC must stand her ground to make the launch of this portal a success.
