TOPIC: Time – The Power To Master Your Life.

TEXT: “….. So teach us how to number our days, that we may apply our hearts
             with wisdom”  Psalm  90:12

Our life-time is locked up in our days. What you do with your days determines what your life will amount to. To gain mastery of your life, you must be accountable for the days of your life; your days are the building blocks of your life.

The numbering of days is not the issue. What you do with the numbered days is what matters. Think in days!

How do you spend your day? Until you’re accountable on how you spend each day, your advancement in life is in view. Do not let the sunset each day without achieving anything. Develop a sense of time consciousness daily by planning your time and working on your plan.

When you waste your days, you have wasted more than days in the real sense; you have wasted the power locked up in nature as productivity and transformation.  Remember, God hates waste.

Sometimes you may be wasting your days without knowing:  To be sure you’re on track you can ask yourself the following questions:

-How old am I in days?
-How many days out of these days have I been productive?
-Where is the outcome of my productivity? (Make a list).
-How many years do I want to live?
-How many years (in days) do I have more?
-What are my plans for the remaining days of my life?

May be you’ve  spent your live on unproductive things due to the following reasons:  to please loved ones, impress people you don’t like, compete with others, undo others, unnecessary pleasure, out of laziness, doing experiments, ignorance, just name them.

May be the aftermath of their wasted years is regrets, pain, disappointment, frustration, anger, unforgiveness, ………

“.. so teach us how to number our days that we may apply our hearts with wisdom.” Psalm 90:12.

The numbering of days is for us to apply wisdom in all we do. Doing experiment with our lives, for instance is no wisdom; life is too short to be used as an experiment. Wisdom says you should learn from the experiences of others and not to experiment with your days/life.

Also, in applying our hearts to wisdom, you must treat distraction and procrastination like plagues because they are the thieves of time.

Maybe no one seem to understand with you concerning what you’re going through after the wasted years. Not to worry, with the help of the Holy Spirit, you can recover the time you have lost in various ways, if only you will believe. “Every day is the Lord’s day, the day you believe is your day.”

It’s never too late to make a U-turn. You can begin from this point, no matter your age, to make up for the losses by seeking for the direction of the Holy Spirit. ……….He will guide you in all truth……….

Do something today to redeem your days and gain mastery of your life!
