  • To boost personal development and self-sustenance among youth in Nigeria, the Nigerian Bottling company has flagged out a program tagged, ‘Youth Empowered.’  It is designed to be a regular training workshop to support Youth in business, career and life in general.

    The program which was launched on Thursday, the  5th of October, at Federal Place Hotel, had in attendance NBC officials, Youth, stakeholders from government and non- governmental organization.

    According to news men, the training will take place in 3 zones across the country, Port Harcourt ( Nov 8th - 10th), Lagos (Oct 17th - 29th) and Kano (Nov 15th - 17th) 2017. The program which is expected to carter for 10,000 Youth, was designed to help participants build business skills, such as Business planning, Negotiation, Financial literacy, Communication, time management, Sales/Marketing skills and Project management, so as to thrive in the business environment.

    There would also be opportunities for participants to meet and interact with experienced professionals and business mentors that would guide them through the launch and growth of their career and businesses.

    At the end of the training, participants are expected to have discovered themselves – know their strengths & weaknesses.; harness opportunities around, using their strengths and How to work on their weaknesses.

    Each batch of training will be slated to run for 3 days and would take place both off line and online.

    NBC ‘Youth Empowered’ is part of one Coca-Cola’s commitment to support over 500,000  unemployed youth between the ages of 18-30 by 2020, to enable them gain meaningful employment and have self-sufficiency.

    Progress on the training program  will be communicated to the general public. Interested Youth need to do a follow up on Coca Cola through its public relations unit, so as to know when the schedule and selection for the next training sesssion will be announced.
